This unusual all natural dyed, weft ikat textile used in making this lovely pillow set is only being made in Nusa Penida Bali. The red colour is achieved through the time-consuming red dye technique using the bark of roots of Morinda citrifolia trees along with a plant mordant called Symplocos (see www.plantmordant.org). The trees in this community are being sustainably harvested. The textile is woven on a backstrap loom by the community of weavers Threads of Life works with who still have the ability to make traditional textiles using natural dyes.

Each pillow cover contains an inner cover so that stuffing can be removed for ease of shipping. Dry Clean recommended
